Tax Levy Increase from 2007/2008: $     40,929
Total Request from Tax Levy: 1,213,673
Total Budget from all sources: 1,430,683
Total Budget Increase from all sources: 58,199

The proposed increase of $40,929, if approved by voters, will be applied to:

Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


HOW MUCH?

The proposed increase is $40,929 (3%) from property tax support over 2007/08 appropriation.


HOW IS THE MONEY USED?

To provide library operations and services.  In 2007:
 
206,658
people visited the Library.
25,744 people had library cards
443,090  items were borrowed.
22,578  reference questions were answered.
13,008 children, teens, and adults attended 392 library programs.
