What is Reference?
Reference service is one of the most basic and important services offered by libraries. Trained librarians are available at all hours the library is open to help connect you with the information you need. You can contact a Reference Librarian by stopping by Floor 3 of the Library, by telephone, and by the Internet with our Ask-A-Librarian service.
Reference Materials
Reference Materials are materials that the library does not loan out. This way, people have the opportunity to use them whenever they come into the library. Some of our most popular reference materials include:
Valueline Investment Survey Morningstar Mutual Funds Standard & Poor's Daily News Consumer Reports N.A.D.A. Official Used Car Guide Thomas Register of American Manufacturers Business Phone Book USA The World Almanac The World Book Encyclopedia Access to databases such as EBSCOhost (for magazine articles, many full-text), Health Reference Center, Business & Company Resource Center, OCLC FirstSearch, Encyclopedia Americana, and Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia from any of the library's Internet computer terminals. Several of the databases can also be accessed from home.
